Roots Fittings Offset Mast Gooseneck

The Roots Fittings mast gooseneck offset has been designed to keep the boom pivot axis as close to the mast axis as possible, while leaving enough room for the mainsail to pass over its side. Deck sweeper-type mainsails can therefore pass through easily and smoothly. The boom will push the mast with almost the same pressure to port and starboard!

Made from Duplex 2205, this material is 30% stronger than stainless steel for the same thickness! Fastened with three rivets on each side for better support and to ensure that the gooseneck screw sits flush with the mast. We recommend the use of AVINOX 4.8*15.4mm rivets (H2O31265), but never use aluminum rivets to fasten mullet screws. 

We recommend using either sikaflex or pre-cut 125micron PROtect Tape (H2O00027), to insulate the duplex from aluminum or carbon!
