Working furling line / rope for KF furlers. Diameter 6 mm. Length 10 meters (2 x 5 meters round trip)

The working furling line or rope is essential for the operation of our furlers. The furling line is a loop rope. Available in fixed lengths (kits) or made to measure.

    • Ready-to-use furling line
    • The kits are fitted with a deflection block (KBO) or an open ring (KRO) to keep the rope under tension
    • Optimized diameters for optimized operation
    • 100% polyester line (core braided) with ultra flexible 32 plait sheath
    • Quality splice made by renowned riggers
    • Be careful ! Our furlers are not supplied with a furling line as standard.
    • Be careful ! Like most of our competitors, we do not supply the furling line with the furler. This allows our customers to choose the most suitable length of rope for their boat and use.
    • The second part of the reference of our furling line kits (exple [D8L20]) includes 2 interesting information : the diameter (D8 = Diameter 8 mm) and the length (L20 = 20 meters = 2 x 10 meters (round trip of the rope)
    • Block KB02 included

    • If you make your own furling line, please check what is the recommended diameter (6, 8 or 10 mm).
    • Aside from the diameter, any rope with a braided core (for splicing) will do.
    • Some competitors or rope manufacturers push for specific models to compensate for either overly aggressive continuous line wheel or slippery continuous line wheel designs. The quality of our continuous line wheel has always been a strong point. We offer a perfect balance between grip and respect for the rope. Nothing prevents you from using these specific ropes but a standard rope will do the job just fine.
    • The block or the open ring on the furling line makes it possible to make an attachment point at the rear of the boat. This offers 3 advantages :
    • 1) the rope is slightly in tension and without the possibility of making a knot (or loop).
    • 2) This assembly makes it easier to identify the port rope which will be used to lock / unlock the continuous line wheel from the cockpit.
    • 3) You can adjust the furling line tension. Without tension or with a very slight tension, the rope will naturally be ejected from the continuous line wheel towards the casing. The sail will then unfold without dragging the rope … and without burning your fingers. You can then use the furling line as an unwinding brake.
    • If you do not need the block, it is possible to remove it from the furling line by levering the plastic part of the block.
    • If you are looking for a solution to make the furling line run cleanly along the stanchion, use the KRO open rings.
